Well, I can officially see without glasses or contacts! I thought it was never going to happen but Tuesday was my surgery and in my next day post-op check-up I was seeing 20/20 and even some 20/15!!! It is amazing how quickly it all happens! I gotta say...I was more nervous than I expected to be. The doctor had to keep telling me to hold still because I was fidgeting so much and I started hyperventilating. But everything went well! I must say, it was the weirdest feeling knowing the exact moment that my eyes were being cut open and the burnt smelling from the laser, but it only took like one minute for everything to happen! Joey got to watch it too, and he said it was so crazy seeing the rough inside parts of my eyes! He was so excited for me though! Being that it was April Fools Day, I just had to play a cruel joke on the surgeon, and it went like this...
Surgeon: Okay, everything went beautifully!
Me: So, it is still supposed to be black in the eye you were just working on?
Surgeon: You mean you can't see that blinking light?
Me: No!
Surgeon: Okay, lets take a quick look...(as he pulls the laser thing back to my eye, freaking me out)
Me: Okay, Okay APRIL FOOLS!!
Surgeon: Uh...ha..ha. Wow, my entire body just got really hot, my ears are burning!!! That would have been a really horrible phone call!
So, it was funny! Some other April fools jokes I pulled (if you can't tell, I love April fools day!!! It is one of my favorite days!!) I had a pregnant doctor that I work with pee in a cup and I took a pregnancy test to fool Joey, but of course he knows me too well. He saw right through it! I also stole my dads porch swing. And there were others...But enough about that.
